The ''"Show song comments after loading"'' option is only applied to the current song, not globally for all songs.
The comment box will show up automatically when the song is loaded if the ''"Show song comments after loading"'' option is not disabled. The option is only applied to the current song, not globally for all songs. To create a new comment or display one again after closing, select the main menu option, ''"Song -> Song Comments..."''
 
The other methods of leaving comments in songs are:
 
* Adding name/comments to individual patterns by expanding the [[Pattern Sequencer]].
* Using the Section Header button in the [[Pattern Sequencer]] to insert titles/comments between patterns.
* [[Instruments#Preset_Selector|Instrument presets]] can have descriptions added to them by selecting the 'info and comments' dialog button [[Image:3.5_presetselector-comments.png|text-bottom]] and typing it in.
* Place a [[Doofer,_Splitter_%26_Notepad|Notepad]] device into an effect chain. You can use them to remind yourself, or inform others, of the functionality of a particular effect chain. They are especially handy for Doofers and Splitters where effects are often minimised and short [[Effect_Chains#Common_Device_Layout_and_Controls|device names]] may not be informative enough.

Song Comments

Using the Song Comments box you can leave notes either for yourself or for others when sharing a song.

The comment box will show up automatically when the song is loaded if the "Show song comments after loading" option is not disabled. The option is only applied to the current song, not globally for all songs. To create a new comment or display one again after closing, select the main menu option, "Song -> Song Comments..."

The other methods of leaving comments in songs are:

  • Adding name/comments to individual patterns by expanding the Pattern Sequencer.
  • Using the Section Header button in the Pattern Sequencer to insert titles/comments between patterns.
