Template Song

A Template Song is a special song file used as the initial composing environment when Renoise is launched or when creating a new song. Without a template a new song is completely blank with eight standard tracks and one Send track. To have something different from this, make your desired changes, then save it as a template by selecting from the main menu: "File -> Save As Template Song".

The changes that can be made in the template are the same things that are saved within a song file:

To delete the saved template, making new songs blank again, choose "File -> Delete Template Song". It’s also possible to bypass the Template Song and use a blank one instead, without having to delete the template, by selecting "File -> New Song (no Template)".
