QWhat is Renoise?

AActually, just browse around and you’ll find out sooner or later, or just skip that step en browse to the proper location which will answer this question.

QWhat’s the idea behind this Wiki site?

AThe idea is to give other Renoise users the ability to add their knowledge to this site. There is no better way of creating a self enhancing knowledge base than using Wiki techniques.

QDoesn’t this invite vandal kiddies to smudge up your site with unwanted graffitti effects etc?

AThis is possible, however, they cannot delete content and older revisions can be simply restored. (deleting as of: not being able to restore as an anonymous user, has been disabled).Besides ip address of the changer is being logged and the fun of so called *hacking* is gone when a user does not have to fill in a password to change site contents. It’s not just all gone because the person erases all of the text in a block and then submit the empty form.

QDo we really “need” a tutorial site? Once every option is known, what can be changed?

ARenoise development is still evoluting, besides there are loads of nice tricks and ideas beyond Renoise itself that can be used with Renoise including a lot of third party VST and VST instruments and this site fills in as a good knowledgebase for a lot of good ideas.
