BPM

BPM: Beats Per Minute. The phrase actually defines itselves, it represents the tempo of the music (in the past, most trackers called this setting ‘Tempo’ rather than calling it BPM.)

The BPM Rate in Renoise depends also upon it’s speed-rate. The actual BPM for speed-values 1–3 and 3 multiplied by exponentials of 2 (3x2, 3x4, 3x8) Though, 20 is the maximum speed-value. That’s why the BPM value in Renoise is not the real BPM value, the calculation of the real BPM value can be found in the song settings panel in the Player Options frame.

Different LPB values are returned for the Speed / BPM combination.

Note:The real BPM shall match the user BPM if the speed is set to one of these values:1, 2, 3, 6, 12
