Channel

Referencing to MIDI-channels, used to broadcast Midi-commands across. The maximum channels which can be simultaneously used on a MIDI-network is 16.

This limit may sometimes cause problems when there are too many Midi devices on the same bus wanting to broadcast multiple commands at the same time. It’s actually not a limitation for the devices, but the musician who requires efficient division of these channels to gain all required output he/she wishes for.
